Dr. Christian B\u00f6k (FRSC) is the author of Eunoia<\/em> \u2013 a bestselling work of experimental literature, which has gone on to win the Griffin Poetry Prize. B\u00f6k is one of the earliest founders of Conceptualism (the poetic school made famous, in part, by the activities of Kenneth Goldsmith). B\u00f6k has created artificial languages for two television shows: Gene Roddenberry\u2019s Earth: Final Conflict <\/em>and Peter Benchley\u2019s Amazon. <\/em>B\u00f6k has earned many accolades for his virtuoso recitals of \u201csound-poems\u201d (particularly Die Ursonate <\/em>by Kurt Schwitters). B\u00f6k is on the verge of finishing his current project, entitled The Xenotext<\/em> \u2013 a work that requires him to engineer a bacterium so that its DNA might become not only a durable archive that stores a poem for eternity, but also an operant machine that writes a poem in response.
