Kilpel\u00e4inen works as a Lecturer in Performance Design at the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki. As a researcher, she explores changes in performance designers\u2019 work and art and possible futures and sustainability in performance design. As an artist, she specialises in dramaturgy, light, space, site, perceptions, experiencing, audiences, performative installations, performance concepts, collective creation and sustainability.
