Vincent Roumagnac is a French-Basque theater artist and researcher, living-working in Finland/France. His work materializes through installations, performances, and videoscenic acts. Interested in how the notion and practice of the “stage” evolve through climate-morphing and techno-conditioning, Roumagnac plays obliquely with memories of Western theatrical representation, architecture, and literature, that are displaced in a movement of ecodramaturgical transition of scenic thinking and imaginary. He has been collaborating with Finnish choreographer Simo Kellokumpu since 2010 and with French visual artist Aurélie Pétrel since 2012. From 2016 to 2018 he co-directed the research platform weSANK with the architect-researcher Emmanuelle Chiappone-Piriou, and in 2019, with Outi Condit and Simo Kellokumpu, he launched the artistic research cluster Q̶͈̬̿͝l̴̛̬̝̒o̵̰̍̔ǘ̴̼ḓ̷̟̓̅s̷̻̦̆Q̸̠̿͒u̷͓A̸̛̘͝r̷̖͈̀͝ṭ̶̏z̶̩̩. In 2020, Roumagnac completed a doctorate at the Performing Arts Research Centre (Uniarts Helsinki) based on his artistic research project Reacclimating the Stage. Thereafter, he initiated a postdoctoral project titled Data Ocean Theatre.
