The exercises of levels I and II are made more efficient. Coordinate physical impulse and voice impulse. Regularly use impulse sounds and syllables, voice and body, texts and songs coordinated with movement.
Exercises 3.11–3.14
Exercise 3.11: Old style talking heads: short movement sequence (walk, movement of any body part, turns, leaps), freeze the last position and start to speak immediately. Realise how movement and breathing influence emotional state and voice.
Exercise 3.12: Text after weight shift. Cut a dramatic text into short phases. Search for each text phase and weight shift that provokes appropriate emotions. Move to the first phase, ‘freeze’, render the text, move to the second phrase, etc.
Exercise 3.13: Do the above exercise with tiny weight shifts and movement (psychological theatre), and thereafter with very ample movements and with steps (melodrama).
Exercise 3.14: Move and speak at the same time. Use movement impulses for underlining words, etc.
